Ascend through the rainforest, entering the open slopes of the expansive Shira Plateau. Witness unique flora adapted to the high-altitude environment. Camp for the night amidst the breathtaking scenery of Shira 1 Camp.
Continue across the vast Shira Plateau, marveling at the volcanic landscape and distant views of Mawenzi and Kibo Peaks. This gradual ascent aids in your acclimatization process.
